Know your back: Movements and mobility

In this session, we will understand the basic anatomy of the back and the movements we do in everyday life. In the asana practice, we will flow through all the movements of the spine and work on the mobility of the different parts of the spine.

Day 2
No more knots: Upper back opening

The upper tends to knot up or get stiff very quickly which can be painful and uncomfortable! In this class, we will learn some amazing postures to keep the upper back and shoulder healthy, happy, and knot-free!

Day 3
Complete core: Lower back strength

One of the most important aspects of keeping your back healthy is to have a strong and stable core. Our core is made up of the abdominal muscles as well as the lower back muscles, and they work together to keep your core strong. This class is all about working towards a strong core

Day 4
Heart opening: Backbends and twists

Backbends and twists are full of energy and positivity. These movements give you a complete picture of what your back can do! The beauty of the movements and its psychological effect is what we will be exploring in this class.

Let go: Hip opening and restorative + Q&A;

A lot of times, tight hips and hamstrings are the reason for your back pain. This class will be a cathartic and calming experience. With deep hip opening followed by a healing restorative class to show your back some love and care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend this workshop if I have a slip-disc or back-surgery?

If you have undergone any recent surgeries in the last 6 months, we recommend you to avoid the yoga practice. For other difficulties such as slip-disk, we suggest that you should consult your physician and take the opinion.

If I attend the workshop, will my back-pain be cured?

Yes! Yoga is not only a good way to relieve stress and tension, but it can also help you reduce back pain and maintain a healthy spine.

Can I attend the workshop if I do not have any prior experience of practicing yoga?

Yes! You don’t need to have any previous experience. Our trainer will provide you with detailed guidance on how to practice yoga asanas along with modifications to make it easier for you.

Can I practise yoga even if I am not flexible?

Of course! The more you practice yoga, the more flexible you would become over time.

Do I need to have a gap between my meal and the yoga practice in the workshop?

We recommend a gap of good 2 hours between your meal and the yoga practice. Also, it would be better not to eat a heavy meal just after the yoga practice. However, it is good to remain hydrated, so keep a water-bottle near you and drink water in intervals while practicing yoga.

Is the workshop conducted live?

Yes, the workshop will be conducted live! The sessions will be conducted as per the given schedule.

What happens if I miss any session in the workshop?

No worries! If you miss any session in the workshop, you can refer to the recording of the live sessions for all days - anytime!

What preparation do I need for the workshop?

We suggest that you should not have a full stomach while practicing yoga, wait for 2 to 3 hours after large meals. Make sure that your yoga dress is comfortable to stretch and breathe with ease. Yoga should be practiced on a levelled floor in a room where doors and windows are kept open for air and light. Select a quiet, clean place for yoga. You can use room freshener, it will make you feel good. Do not practice yoga on the floor, spread a carpet, a blanket or a clean yoga mat. Please keep a water bottle, a small towel, a pillow or bolster, yoga block, yoga belt (or long piece of cloth).

How do I access the recorded sessions of the workshop?

We will send you the link to access the recorded video in an email and SMS. You will receive this after 15 days of the last session date. Please check your SMS and Inbox regularly, also do not forget to check the spam mails as well!
